Yeah it did. Nothing like a good cliff-hanger ending.

I missed this post on Friday. I'm not really a fan of lock-ons. I prefer the security of the Summit Viper and the added security of the rail.

I tried a lock-on stand in these woods once. I went to climb it a few days later when the wind got right and I noticed that it looked like my lifeline had been cut at the bottom. Then I looked at all of the straps on the Lone Wolf sticks and they all looked like they had been cut almost all the way through but not quite.

Turns out, the squirrels there really love nylon I guess. If I hadn't noticed and tried to climb it would have ended badly. I would have been tied off to the lifeline but those little jerks had chewed it almost halfway in two where it was tied in at the top.

They chew on the rubber coating on my Summit cables, but they can't dent the steel cables.

Dude those are some slippery trees. I never liked how the teeth on stands slide easy on em. It is fun peeling the bark off though when your bored. Slay em bro! Will be heading to stand shortly

Yes they do. They'll eat the crap out of it once the seed heads are mature.

I thought so from looking at your pic but it's hard to make out the detail. We used to raise grain sorghum (we called it Milo) on our cropland when I was younger. I hated driving the combine to harvest that stuff. The dust gets everywhere and it itches like crazy. I thought it was the worst until we started growing rice.

That's a great looking spot you're in. Good luck!
