Live in Tennessee, gonna be a quick one as it’s going to get hot fast. Last buck pictures were two weeks ago at 7am, pretty consistently. They gotta come back eventually right? Lol

Well I just caught up 12 pages of this thread. I went fishing this past weekend with some friends from high school. I had poor signal where I was at and wasn't able to follow along. Congrats LC and Westfinger, and cantexian it will be ok the other critters need to eat also.

Caught a few fish, perch, Crappie, catfish and some bass. Weekend was great. Fun times and some beer.

Yes! Here in SE Missouri the forecast high temp for Wednesday is 92 degrees. Thursday is 78, Friday is 72 and the forecast for the next 15 days shows highs in the mid-70's with lows in the 40's and 50's.

I believe fall is almost finally here. Time to wash and prep some light layers and heavier camo. :tu:

I slept in again this morning after binge watching the entire last season of The Ranch last night.

I think now I will get my arrow and my quiver cleaned up, go and put a couple of climbers on trees here on the home woods and get back after them this afternoon.

Chief, are you on a lease or all public land? Seems like you have a prime spot!

Where I was hunting in Kentucky is private land that is owned by a farmer who is a member of the Church where my brother preaches. The farmer works thousands of acres and there are small patches of woods all over the place and that area is overrun with deer. Sometimes you will go and see nothing, mostly early in the season, but when the deer are moving the only way to not see deer in Graves county Kentucky is to stay in the house.

This farmer hates what the deer population does to his crops. He has told me that he wants me to kill every one I see and he told me once that if I killed one I didn't like to just "kick it in the ditch and kill another one". I can't do that, of course, but it kind of gives you an idea of what a target rich environment that area is. Also, the deer there are, well, what's a good way to put it? Stupid works. Uneducated is probably better.

A few years ago I shot one of a group of five does with my TC Encore with a magnum load that rocked the world and the other four just stood there and watched her run and crash and went back to eating. I was able to reload with them at 40 yards and was about to shoot another one when I saw an 8 point step out so I shot him instead.

I'm home now so for the next week or two I will be hunting here on my home place which is only 8 1/2 acres. I won't be seeing as many deer and they aren't nearly as stupid as the Kentucky deer.

That was a good season. I wish it hadn't ended the way it did though and really left ya hanging.
