It could be a great weekend with this small front moving through! I don’t think your bolt will hit them from Indiana Jim!

I was looking the wrong way. As I was leaving I noticed fresh droppings near my trail I walked in on. Now I know!!

I think there may be more to it. He had 2 buddies in the tree with him when he “fell”. They didn’t even go check on him. I think he might've been pushed... he knew were all the dead acorns were buried and was about to turn tree rat and tell the deer and chipmunks everything he knew.

Can't really tell from the pictures but that's actually a 8-10" DBH tree and its rubbed all the way up to about 4' high. Found 3 more that are just as big and just as well rubbed all within about a 75 yd radius.

I'm giving it a try this afternoon Rain storm on the way. Anything that wasn't born this year is on my hit list. Made a little more noise with the climber than I would have liked. We'll see. In the edge of cover, lots of nuts. The pic is if where I expect to see them come. 15695270101622930211637641398128.jpg

I got to Kentucky about 1:00 and went directly to my favorite wood patch to hang my morning stand.

Then I went to my brother's house, showered, dressed and I'm 30 feet up a big, hard-bark hickory in another patch of woods we call the T woods.

It's an inside corner where a fencerow hits the woods. The corn has been picked recently and I noticed something new.

There has always been a CRP field to the north where the deer bed. When I drove in they had cut all of the vegetation there and baled it.

This is the only patch of woods that is close so this could be interesting.
