Those 90 degree temps suuuuuck. We are finally getting a reprieve from it and I'm thinking of sneaking in Wednesday eve if the predicted winds hold. Hope all of you getting the heat treatment get some relief too! Till then, I guess I have to do the work thing.

Living on the edge this afternoon. Hunting a stand I have been wanting to hunt and not going to look at what the wind is since deer some from both sides of the stand. Let's see what tonight brings!

Good news, wife said the big football game I thought was this Saturday, well, it's not this Saturday. I will be heading out for the evening hunt, I am not messing with the morning...well, lets see how excited I am when my body wakes me up at 2am.

I decided I would climb a tree and see if anything walks by this afternoon. If nothing comes by that's okay. If it does come by I'm launching an arrow.

The wind has shifted so I'm on the other side of my plot today.

Don’t know if I’m happy or sad. Got laid off today. Archery starts October 1st. Easy answer I’m happy. If I can roll this for another 2 months it will cover archery and gun. I’m happy. Carry on LFTS. Good luck everybody. I got nothing to do but follow along for the next couple days.

    I saw one deer.

It was coming in about 20 minutes before dark and it just stopped and fed in one spot until dark and then meandered off.

It was a very comfortable, relaxing sit.

Back home. Had no service where I was hunting. Didn't see any movement. Was hunting a great rut spot but no good sign just yet.

I won't be hunting again until Thursday afternoon. There is stuff to do tomorrow and then I plan to head back to Kentucky Thursday morning to try to take advantage of the new moon this weekend.

Good luck to anyone that is going out after them tomorrow.

That sucks. Sorry to hear. Get any applications started now as many of the bigger employers pause hiring between Thanksgiving and mid Jan...

Enjoy your hunting and good luck!
