All I saw was a fox. That's it, i quuuuit!! I'm swearing off deer hunting for at least 8 months. Screw it! It was a good season for me even though I only got a doe. Passed a lot of deer and mangled my one shot opportunity on the one I chased all year. Lots of things to work on in the off season to improve access and food sources. (New bow?) I'd like to thank you all for the comradery, support, advice and encouragement! Till september I'm no longer live from the stand. Best of luck to you that still have time.

Well that’s it for me gentlemen. It’s been fun, wish I could’ve put a buck down, but I have 1 deer in the freezer. Better than no venison at all I suppose. Looking forward to 9 months from now!

I'm not finished for the year yet. A friend and I had planned to head back to Arkansas this week but they close Wattensaw WMA when the White River hits 28" at Clarendon, AR and it's supposed to reach that on Saturday. The season runs until 28 February so I'm sure we'll be able to get back out a few times before the season ends.

Even if i don't manage to get back out it's been a great season.

good luck out there guys, I believe I am done for the year... Went out in MD yesterday with my buddy, and Karma caught me for calling in sick to go hunting.... we were using a van and it was pretty full when we left for lunch, I was getting undressed and put my bow on top of the van... yepp you guessed it, completely forgot to put it in the van before we drove off... got about half a mile down the road and hear something coming off the roof, I instantly knew what I did.... top cam is completely bent in half, bottom cam is also bent, and the bottom limb pocket is pretty dinged up.... I feel like an absolute idiot, luckily being in the industry I have a lot of friends who are highly trained bow techs, have one looking over it this weekend to see what all i need to get it fixed or if i will need to just get a new bow... this sucks, I feel so stupid... heres a picture of the top cam... What an IDIOT!!!!

Looks like it has a touch of cam lean! Lol. Sorry to hear, hope it doesn’t cost too much to get it back up and shooting.

Ouch! That's much worse then I imagined. My be time for new bow. Have them check those limbs also for hair line cracks. Don't want to be the guy that pulls that back for the first time after fixing it! Lol

That rots. I dropped my old bow out of a tree once, drove all the way to the office with my wallet and checkbook by the windshield wiper. Stuff happens. NEW BOW!!!!! :-)

I'm in the blind. Off and on rain, 30 mph wind gusts, and zero confidence in something showing up...this could be my day!

I am up. Hiked in to spot on an archery only WMA I have never hunted. Set up in a big draw that leads down to point in a lake. Fresh acorns on the ground and a stream at 23 yards. Only escouted this place. First time in person. About 1.5 miles from the parking. Brought the elk pack. It will be gutless, quarter and pack out if I get one down back here. About 90 until dark
