Squirrels and birds so far is all I've seen. I half way expected some early movers but no luck yet.

Alarm set. Heavy snow currently falling, not as much falling west where the property is. Might have to load the 4 wheeler up in a couple hours. I'll pull a sled with a deer in the snow, but without snow the 4 wheelers doing the work.

Saw 3 at 5 o'clock all out of range and hustling out to the field. No antlers. Trying to make a plan for tomorrow.

Roads were horrible, had to turn around almost to property due to flooded road. Headed down now. Legal time 22 minutes away.

No one else here which surprised me.

We'll see what happens. More snow here than I was led to believe.

On stand, fastvtracked it and didn't bust anything out. Lots of water, no wind and can actually see quite well 10 minutes before legal time.

Season over, just cannot justify continuing to go out. Absolutely perfect morning and not a deer seen.

They are probably on the food and the food is not onnthe property. Seems once the acorns amd browes are gone and the rut wanes the deer disperse elsewhere.

Costs to much each trip. Until October/November!!

Didnt go out this morning, pouring rain, 30mph winds. Tied in now, 3hrs of shooting time, 65degrees, 10mph wind in my favor. Beautiful day for January, not so sure about for the deer, probably a last 15min kinda day.

So far this trip, I've seen 5 Doe, a spike and 6pt from this stand in 2 sits. So far this is the best stand on the property. I have two cameras out about 150yds apart. Will be interesting to see what's on them when I come back in 2 weeks.

I'll be in around 3 ish. Going to a spot I usually dont go to at all on this property but this is my last hunt of the season. It's hard to get to and thick but tons of trails converge in an opening close to bedding. Trick is not bumping them to the next county on entrance.
