    I'm up in a tree in one of my best spots. I finally have a consistent southerly wind for it.

    The moon should be underfoot at sunset which is good.

    It is only in the low 80's now and there are quite a few clouds so it is s beautiful day compared to the past two weeks.

    Life always seems much simpler sitting in a tree stand. My brother, who is a preacher, says he believes it's the "elevation".

    Alright alright alright...up and settled finally. Cool spot actually. Lots of converging trails on a field edge corner and looks to be a staging area. Not sure if it is the best wind for this but at least its blowing about consistent and steady.     I didn’t get out to hunt this afternoon. But that is okay because today Easton won the statewide Arkansas Game and Fish Commision Student Markmanship Challenge for 1st-3rd grade division. We knew he had a great chance to win the central Arkansas division. We were quite suprised and proud when he won state. He competed in five categories: BB guns, @naspschools archery,
    3D archery, slingshots, and target casting.

    Had one small buck come in about 2 hours before dark. He was on a mission and just cruised by at about 50 yds. He was damn loud too.

    I had one buck walk through 15 minutes before end of legal light.

    He got to 35 yards but not only could I not tell how big he was but I couldn't see if there were any branches in the way in the dim light.

    I expected better movement but it was still a great sit.
