I've been on the stand since 6.15am. Same does and scrub bucks I've been seeing all season. Hate to say it but I've been played. Turns out some titty surgeon bought a place on the other side of the section. I flew over it last week a judging by the amount of work he has done he has proven he has more money than sense. Oh well, I'm kinda tired of playing that game so think I am going to let this place go for the next couple of years and focus on southern Colorado muley.

Absolutely nothing this morning. Decided to scout my way out. Found 3 stands and a bag of corn laying on the ground unopened. So definitely other hunters in there and explains why no deer this morning. Until next time!

    Good luck this evening, guys!

Met some guy from Illinois on a public land spot and we scouted in together. He said he is on bh.com but gave me the finger and walked off. Weird man.

Gearing up in the truck. Weather can’t decide if it’s going to rain or snow. Good luck guys, let’s make it happen.

All set up in the oaks. Lots of sign here since the last time I hunted here. We will see. Snow starting so it should get the deer on their feet.

Umbrella is up, muzzleloading crossgun is ready. Bucks and does were in two separate groups last night hopefully they will be together tonight.

Decided to unplug for a few days fellas. Sorry for ghosting here but that debacle kind of hit hard. I went out yesterday to some buck beds I knew about that look unused and no sign of the buck I hit. No buzzards or crows around. I'm going to hunt tomorrow morning again and check some cameras while I'm at it. I'm hoping he lives through the shot at this point. Kind of late in the game to think I'll see him from the stand before season ends but that would be sweet redemption. God I hate I wounded a deer. Anyway, good luck to everyone out still grinding.
