I'm going to try to hunt this afternoon.
I'll be at our farm today. WSW wind gives me a couple stand options. We'll see how it goes.
    Good Luck, PM shift!

No dice, they got up and headed the other way, too thick for a shot.
Taking a little break right now trying to decide what to do for the afternoon. Supposed to be some more rain coming too. Wonderful!

I'm with ya, Carter. Horns only tonight, but I'm off Wednesday through the weekend. Then does are targets too. Right now it's just me and the squirrels and camera shows mostly morning movement here. Nocturnal bucks. I'm moving this set about 150 yards regardless.

In the ground blind with my little bud. Hunting for horns tonight. Cool & a little windy but it’s blowing in the right direction.
    Good luck guys!

Sorry I didn't tell you guys I was hunting this afternoon.

I said I was gonna get one with my pistol and I dropped a doe fawn this evening.

It was a 22 yard shot and I guess I flinched left a bit and it spined her and blew out the artery (and the backstrap).

Not a great shot but she's hanging up.

It did and so did the action. No real chance to check back in bc of all the deer that ran in. Totaled 13 deer seen including two small 6 points, couple of bb's with momma does and one other small buck out of range. The two bucks came in perfect at last light and I didnt see them till they were right on top of me the light was so dim. Probably too late to shoot even if one were a shooter tbh. I waited another 20 minutes to make sure the big fella wasnt trailing. Did not move that stand. Ha! Could have nailed one of the mature does. I may regret that, since a smoked the last of my doe meat yesterday.

1 mature doe came in at last light, she was real skittish & kept a close eye on the blind. I’m guessing she was close by when I shot my doe there Christmas Eve. We had to wait her out before we could leave.
