Finally on stand sitting in some acorns. No definitive trails so I decided to sit right in the middle of all the digging. Not really sure where the deer will be coming from since I've never hunted here before. This could prove to be an interesting hunt.

Well boys I'm in for an afternoon sit. I'm still looking for a donation doe, can't kill a buck. With this front that's coming in later I hope to catch them up feeding a little early this afternoon. Got a weird ESE wind right now. Good luck to everyone out today.

Good luck PM shift! This ENE wind sucks for hunting so I decided to take my muzzleloader to the range. Good refresher on why I never shoot it...

Well, couldn’t hunt today, but I’ll be out in the morning.
Going to a killing tree where I’ve taken a couple of wall hangers over the years.
62 overnight and all morning with some scattered showers, just crazy.
But it’s been too long and I can’t wait!
    Good luck all

Just got another Christmas out of the way. Last one tomorrow. Gotta work Monday. Back on stand Tuesday and Wednesday. Might be my final sits depending on the work load when I get back after the 1st.

Gonna Spring turkey hunt next year, first time ever. I know there are turkey for sure.

Gonna have to start a turkey thread or something.

Does this thread extend into Spring turkey and then reset before next deer season?

Inquiring minds want to know

I’m locked in, 57 with a slight breeze in my face. Raining when I came in but stopped for now.
Don’t know if anything will be moving, but it should be a beautiful morning and anything can happen.
    Good luck all!

Packing the truck and headed out to NJ in a few hours. Bringing the kids. Main goal is to get them each a deer, afternoon hunts probably . I may get out on my own Tuesday and Wednesday morning. Compound for me, crossbows for them. Still on the hunt for a Buck!

Just had a big ole doe and a small one browsing by at about 60.
Might have taken her if given the chance.
    Encouraging though
