Took awhile to get out. I’ll definitely be going back to that location but pushing 200 yds or so further. Saw a train of deer at last light. They are all pushed back in that flooded timber like I thought I was just a little shy of the X

Aunt just clarified things, said that the line has been decomissioned and what I thought was lines being buried are actually waterlines being installed for city hook up this coming Spring.

Just curious, have you thought about a small pool inflatable and weak trolling motor? Has to be an easier way

Just seems really weird that would be done and it's crazy ass expensive to do that. To the point that it's not even practical. Is this there in Springfield?

I missed this before my previous comment.
This makes way more sense. Thanks for letting me know.

Colton and I was able to hunt last night. I left my phone in the garage so i wasn't able to post any pic's. He had a great time even though we didn't see a dang thing.
Rain today and wind tomorrow. We'll see what happens. Wife's family Christmas today.

I do have a “better plan”. Going to use a boat and pull a canoe behind. This lake is huge so I’ll get to where the lake turns to sloughs in the boat and then canoe in from there. Time.....where can I buy that stuff ??? Hahaha

Looked at forecast thinking maybe New Years day was in order. West winds gusting into the 30's New Years eve, hopefully they die out and switch directions overnight. If not that will be a big no go for me.

22 days of season left, still haven't switched to scented soap and deodorant.

I’d enjoy that personally, I plan to do a lot of public scouting on new areas since finding private permission in the area I bought my house is proving difficult. It would be fun and informative to be able to share pictures discuss things. Then be able to re hash it out later during the season. Would it be active soon? Lol
