    Well, I almost killed a doe.

    I was walking out at the same time as my son-in-law Josh was. I got to an outside corner of a wood patch and spotted does up the edge. They looked spoooked so I nocked an arrow and took a knee.

    What I didn't know was that Josh had spooked a big group of does and one had stood still too long. He killed it.

    Anyway, the does started running almost straight at me. I drew and as they passed me I stood up.

    They stopped and I guessed the closest one at 30 yards. It was farther than that because my arrow shaved hair off the bottom of her chest.

    That was exciting, and it would have been so cool for us to double up while walking out.
