Blanked this weekend. Probably won't be back at again until the weekend before Christmas.

The double is skinned, cut up and on ice.

I ate a sandwich, took a shower and I'm back on stand.

It's supposed to rain tomorrow so I'll pack my stands out at dark.

Tomorrow morning I will drive 3 hours south to Millington, TN to give these two does to a friend of mine who hasnt been able to hunt this year because of health issues. Also, he could really use the meat.

I'll spend the night at another friends house and then drive 4 hours north to get home Tuesday morning.

A spike came out and walked by.

Shortly after that I dropped my urine bottle and it pinballed down the tree limbs and made a ton of noise.

First you try to get me on a buck that you found on public land in Arkansas. Now, you are driving seven hours to make a meat donation to a sick friend. If there is deer hunting in heaven, you are on your way to being its patron saint.

I'm down. All I saw was the spike.

Ah well, it was a good trip even if it was only three sits.

Back home. Couldn't really update and it was all kinds of crazy from 410 on till dark. Just lots of does 2 bbs and that lil buck again. I'm on the complete other end of 40 acres and see that dude again. Busy little pecker head. Anyway kind of bummed.

I was hoping to catch up to LC, by shooting another doe...but then I see he shot 2! Dang, great job LC. That's my 3rd doe of the year. Plus a buck.

Your father shot a great buck there ESnuff-said.

Holt...dude, that's serious. Glad you got that dealt with when you did. That's no joke. A kid that rode my bus died from that in HS.

No deer for me this afternoon. Setup on a heavy trail with good sign. Hoped then moved through with the rain we had coming. Sat through the rain but nothing ventured through.

So today begins the late bow muzzle season. This season I've taken a young buck in early bow and a doe in regular gun. Not a deer seen since doe shot. Lots of tracks, new rubs. Can't go out this a.m. Due to car inspection, thanks hubby! Can't reschedule because the company closed, retired and sold. They are doing us a favor.

Hope for this afternoon, weather warming up and snows me!ting a bit. Have until Dec 17th..maybe they'll start day movement again.
