    I'm headed out for the day, but with the Remington 7400 30-06. Going to slowly make my way as far back as I can looking for good sign and then just hang out on a good trail till something with antlers hopefully strolls by. Roughly 20,000 acres of hardwoods and overgrown fields out there waiting for me. Pack with snacks and water coming with me for the all dayer.

    Good luck everyone out with the bow. Next Friday -Sunday will be my next archery excursion in NJ and Does will be on the menu, of course any decent buck too.

    Set and in the woods. And doing exactly what VWT plans, except, I found this area last week while hiking out - along a long line of scrape through the woods. If it's brown, it's down. Half day sit as the storm over TN works east.

    On the drive here, I was thinking 'I haven't seen a deer yet along the road (dead or alive)... Car passes me, still a bit light blind and immediately, there is a spike running toward my car on the shoulder.

    Not liking this wind, will probably move if it doesn't stabilize and blow from one direction.

    Need to see what the wind is doing to figure out where to hunt.

    I in just waiting on daylight it’s raining like crazy brought the rifle don’t like it but to afraid to shoot one with the bow in these conditions going to try and find some hot sign to setup on tomorrow with the bow

    Your not by chance superstisious (sp)??

    Solution: just grow the beard year round. Do not name it. Find what you like and keep it. Save a few bucks n razor blades and 5 minutes each morning.:evilgrin::evilgrin:

    Forgot it was the youth gun weekend. Had to go home and grab my hunter orange. Jumped in the stand closest to the truck....so irritated this is not where I want to be.

    Had an unknown trot by about 45 minutes ago. Too dark to see, but I suspect a buck, along the military crest.
