Ok guys, in for afternoon doe patrol. Indiana being a one buck state, it's my only choice. Problem is, I got to wear the orange. Our gun season is in but I'm here with the evil crossbow. Good luck to everyone lucky enough to be out.

I'm sitting in a spot that has been one of my favorite locations this year. It's a dry strip between the inside corner of an ag field and a hardwood swamp. I haven't been here since Nov. 1st and it has exploded with new rubs and fresh scrapes.

I'm starting to feel the desperation as this season roles on. Less then 2 weeks before a month of firearm seasons. From now on, no deer is safe. Only letting 2 1/2 year old or younger bucks go.

Holt, my buddy shot a good buck this morning. You got this man!

I just got set up. Took me a darn hour and 15 min to walk a quarter mile. Im real close to where I think they are bedded. Looking for a mature buck looking for a girlfriend or food.

I agree. I wish it would have been this nice when I was in Ohio last week. Compared to that nonsense it's practically balmy out here this afternoon. Mid 40s and no wind!

Just had a doe sneak in and catch me off guard. She was at 20 yards when I saw her. Thought she was a squirrel at first, so didn't look that direction. She worked off to fast to get a shot. Had her mouth wide open like she was being chased or spooked by another hunter. Time for me to pay better attention!

Just got set up on my home place after taking a day to rest up from the long trip.

There are four wheelers running up and down the road with riders in orange.

My wife said she didn't hear many shots while I was gone. Hopefully that big 11 point is still alive and comes through.

Made it out for a wet sit. This rain is supposed to taper off around 1650 so figured I'd give it a shot after all I'm a bowhunter and that's short for glutton for punishment, right!? Plus it beats sitting at home, cant kill them from the couch. Screenshot_20191120-161305_Dark Sky.jpg 15742882671107428799147170312760.jpg
