I hope Crawfeet and the Big Sex get into a fight 20 yards from your stand.

Had another little buck come straight at me and passed by under my tree. Lucky dog was too small. Just needs to be legal! I am not picky. Lol

So I have a question. One of the properties we hunt on has a long skinny green field along the west side rest of it is all woods with deep finger draws all converging way at the bottom that’s basically a huge bowl we’re the deer bed make rubs and scrapes and stage before they move. Then to the east side of us there is a property that’s leased to some hunters from NY that’s about 100 acres and 80-85% of it is a corn field. Well the combine didn’t cut it very good this year so there’s half cobs of corn everywhere and the deer are pounding it. We have this huge buck on camera the last two years that these guys from NY have seen three nights in a row now in the corn field. And they both have shotgun tags and shotgun opens in two days. Do I grab a climber and push into that big bowl and try get on this big buck before he goes up to there corn field or do I not risk bumping him out of there for good?

Big Sex is MIA, might have got whacked or maybe Craw chased him off?
Or he’s smarter than last year and is laughing at me from afar?

    I’d go for him
Can you set up between the “bowl “ and cornfield ?
Catch him as he leaves bowl and heads to corn

Risk moving in, those shot gun hunters will tag him this weekend if he shows in their corn field.

Are you talking about the pic with him sitting on the side of the buck?

Checked garden cams and set a new cam. None of them work!. Batteries dead in one and one just dead. Hey a 40 dollar Apeman that has been run 24/ 7 for 3 years. Better than most all my " commercial " ones . Save a browning I won of a site. It ran 8 years straight. Now it's a decoy cam for trespassers.
So going to garden stand this afternoon blind and hoping the 10 has made it. Still covered up hard in the hunting camps...go home already Geezzz...LOL

Do you like them? I'd feel bad screwing up there hunt, but then again he's fair game.

Can you hunt the bowl effectively? Wind is always a pain in those bowls. I guess if you think you can do it, and you dont have any issues with it, why not?

It was a great morning hunt and saw 5 total deer (3 bucks and 2 doe). I ended up coming down for lunch and coffee and am going to be headed back out in 30 min for the PM shift. Let’s get it!!!

Yeah they are nice people. My wind won’t mess up there hunt it’s perfect for me to get in the bowl. Right in my face going away from the bedding and from there property so won’t mess up there hunt. I think I’m gonna slip in just one step at a time as quiet as possible and set up. Windy today so should cover some noise. Hopefully it works out.
