Just saw a lone doe out eating swamp grass at 80 yards or so.

Well it was hard to tell through trees
But there were possibly 2 doe out in bottoms. Buck came out and was messing around with them. They went up along feild and out of sight. Then a buck came back, couldn't tell if was same or not cam over there will tell me, but this one was definitely limping. So I'm pretty certain that was one from other day. So kinda feel better bout that whole situation.

Now I'm watching a small 6 or 8 pointer make a rub on little tree. Pretty decent morning so far

Wow I missed some action here yesterday.
Tony, positive vibes your way brother.
VS, sucks about the missed shots, but fun at the same time! Been there.

I felt horrible last night, I had a headache and I was really tired, didn’t even want to get my stuff together for today, but I did. Sure enough, this morning I spent an hour in the bathroom, Feel like new man.
Running very late this morning. I grabbed my climber and followed the creek way back to this hilly area.
I’ve had good luck here before, but with this wind direction, I had to play it totally different.
Not even sure where I am exactly, but it looks pretty good!

Gonna be real hard getting my snacks out with this lil guy bedded right here. Might thump a peanut his way.

Took a few shots with my bow this morning since I haven’t shot it in a couple of weeks, 2” groups at 30 yards. Heading out around 1pm with my oldest. We are taking the .243 to try and get him his first deer. I am taking my bow just in case. Priority is him though, he gets first shot even if it is broadside at 5 yards.

2 Does blew through like dogs were chasing them and no buck trailing them. Waited 30 min, still no buck. I'm frozen. I'm out. Need to invest in a heater vest and heated socks.

This afternoon I'm going to improvise and hunt on the ground in an acre scrubby area that I believe the deer may be staging in before entering the cut corn at last light. Have to try something odd ball as nothing else is working.

Not a thing. Years past this is when deer would come through, but wind is blowing directly into cedar thicket they come through.

Heard quite a few deer blow at the other stand sites. Guessing they got busted in the ground blind.

Young buck that was making rub came back through. He's pretty young but looked like had alot of potential. Tall kinda tight rack, but it's big enough he almost looks funny carrying it.

Having about most action of year and worst part is can't stay out much longer. Have a lunch thing to go to around 1.

It is an EAST wind the rest of the weekend, so I cannot sit in the big buck stand. I'm sitting 150 yards away from it. This is a good lesson on how you can be close, yet so far away. Saw one little buck following a doe and fawn.

Slept like dookey Las night...upset I passed on that buck. Headed to doe spot tonight.

    Looking forward to pics Tony!
