If anything today, what brought it together was a knife and coffee.

I'm not overly superstitious, but I'm kinda habitual and set in routine. So just about every time I have taken a buck I have had 2 knives on me. A Case Hammerhead my brother got me for Christmas about 17 years ago, actually used it to dress out my first few kills and an off brand pocket knife my Grandpa daily carried. Used to slit the rear leg with it for leg tag. Neither of the hunted deer.

Well, most recently I had a Buck 110 made in honor of my Uncle, which I have posted before. So now I try to carry all 3 into the woods with me, but until today that had not happened. Forgot the Case once and then the small pocketknife was MIA somewhere in my truck. Steelers watch is a part of it, but not a necessity as i used to wear a pathfinder, but it's becoming more on the must wear side of things now. Anyhow, right before heading down this morning I stopped, opened uo bith oassenger side doors and turnee on headlamp. Found my Grandpa's old knife in the back unser the seat. Pocketed it and headed down.

The other thing was going to the gas station across the street from the one I normally go to due to ease of access.

Last time I went to it was 2016 when I stoppes in Wal Mart early and bought estrus, then stopped at this gas station as it was now easier to access.

I said it this morning. That non coffee making lazy twat was my curse, I was right and will never stop for morning anything there again. Unless the other olace becomes my curse

This morning just all came together rather seemlessly. I had no clue, but reading my morning posts I just had that feeling that today was the day. Things were left untouched for a few days, I was alone on the property and had a manageable wind.

    Everything else is just voodoo.....

I am on stand enjoying a beautiful Fall afternoon. 55 degrees, sunshine and very little wind, which is a rarity for us.

I am hunting a spot for 1sr time this season. No cameras out or pre scouting though I’ve hunted this spot for 30 plus years. Good spot for during the rut which could start up any day.

    Now kill him!

Not live from the stand but earlier today while driving from job to job I seen 4 different shooter bucks all out cruising the fields. Time frame was between 10:30 and 1:00. Varied from CRP to timber edges. They we’re moving.
