I got down at 3ish this afternoon. Hadn't seen a deer since just after 8 this morning.
Got home from practice and not a single deer in the cut beans. Seems weird!

Sitting here on the sh1tter reading this at 0310... I wish I could do the same this morning. BUT it’s not supposed to be above freezing today and overcast. I will employ the deer walk technique the last few hundred yards. Sound like a four legged animal. Step, toes down first, then heel fast, repeat process with other foot. Much slower though.

I'm up and rolling. The weather sucked the last few days so I stayed out, probably good anyways because it was gun opener last Saturday. Good Luck everyone!

I’m up and getting a bite to eat then driving 5 minutes to the property then I’m hoping I won’t sweat on my hike in. Really step. And then down in a nice flat bottom. Probably won’t have service there though.

Lets make this day like October 19th when as Tony said, "the angel of death has visited the lfts". Arrows were being launched and like 10 animals hit the deck!

    Get after em today fellas!

Today marks what I think can be the beginning of some of the best hunting of the year. I love the end of October, beginning of November but the 14th-30th can be a fantastic time to catch a big boy searching for remaining receptive does!

Good luck to everyone that is out on this fine morning!

Tracks show at least 2 hunted since Monday. Luckily the hunted the box blind and no one further back.

Snow still powdery so quiet entry. Scrapes are reopened, woods are quiet and I didn't heat up on way to stand.

It looks and feels right, wind is decent, not great but not in my control.

    Marginal signal.
