Well think I've waiting long enough. Got uo at 630ish and have been sitting here at home waiting for it to get light. Finally kind of getting there so I'm gonna get ready and head out to look. Hoping i was just overlooking blood trail last last night and it's right there and can pick it back up. Think now with it being morning and have plenty of time I'll be able to take it slow and figure it out. Absolute worst case scenario I'm gonna head down into field thats beyond that timber and ill walk edge to see if find blood. That will tell me if he's in there or moved on. Guess if all else fails my sister owns a bloodhound, she's not trained but maybe instinct would take over if got her on trail haha.

Good luck guys if you're out this moning, check back in when get to farm.

Keep at it. It was cold last night. I'm guessing he laid down and expired.

I made it to a half hour past the time they showed on the cameras. Then my cold toes suddenly got very hot. Thats not a good sign, especially since I had bad frost bite as a kid. The results remain with you always. All my gear is still in the tree, bow, quiver, seat pad.
Did see one thing on way back . Last nights deer walked my trail the entire way out.
Warming up, boots on dryer, though I may be getting the Baffens or 1200 gram Irish setters out.

Moved to a new spot along a ridge. Few scrapes and rubs, figure it would be a good spot to catch a cruising buck. I guess time will tell.

Yesterday.. I got out at 11am. Was sitting in the stand and around noon had 4 does, 3 doe fawns and a button buck out in front of me. I hear two bucks going at it about 60 yards below me in the woods. This went on for about a minute and all the deer in the plot are staring off into the woods. I get ready and start to hear something coming my way and whataya know, it's both of my target bucks running full speed into the plot. They never even noticed the does which also cleared the plot. About a minute later, the neighbors dogs. About thirty minutes later I hear one of those dogs start barking and then yelping followed by silence, I think the other neighbor has had it even more than I, hopefully.

I really wish I could take a week or two off in November every year. Between using time for sick kids and family vacation, that's just not an option. Maybe when they're older? Anybody got experience there?
