Took my hunting vacation beard down yesterday. Bitter sweet moment. I look 15 years younger without all the grey.

Clear night, full moon, November 10. Stay sharp morning crew the next three hours are going to get bloody. Good luck if you are out.

I am home with a sick toddler while my wife takes the older kids to church and family obligations this afternoon. If the weather cooperates I will be out tomorrow.

    Kill!

I’m down. Took a look around the bedding area. I have three stands around it but I’m tempted to move one closer to the action. I’m here to kill a buck not watch them from a distance.

Movement finally! Big guy at 1 yard but he just wouldn't stop to give me a shot. Mature and super dark swamp lizard. Florida has been good to me so far. 20191110_102256.jpeg

Saw my big 12 this morning with a doe in toe. They started working my way and something spooked the doe into the woods. Buck stayed out for about 15min then got back on the trail with doe. They crossed me about 45 yards and had I setup where I said I was going to, I’d have him. He didn’t care about grunts or snort wheezing at all, I’m going to sit for a few more hours and hopefully they come back. I relocated to the spot I watch deer pour in and out of the field, hopefully I made the right decision.

Wind has officially spun a 360 on me.
This is the switch I was looking for.
Hopefully the deer know it's time to move now.

I have been harassed by the fox squirrels this morning
Had one at 5 feet. Spit on the little rat bastard and him and his buddies let the world know I was here. Saw a spike long distance feeding. If we are having a trickle rut then where I'm hunting its a drip rut...

I'm about to do the same... Although I rock a beard all year, it's usually trimmed until October.

Unless I can sneak out next weekend my 2019 has concluded in miserable failure. Just too much going on at home/work to keep leaving for days on end.

Blue jays are fired up about something. Maybe that’s the cue to tell a big buck to move in

I had to skip today. Going to hit it hard this week and be on the road. My back and my mess of a garage needed my full attention today. Slept till 9 am. Haven’t slept past 330 am in I don’t remember when. Oh well I’m fully charged and will be on a mission come tomorrow. Hope everyone having a good sit
