You know when a old nasty buck is upwind if you and you catch smells of him? That happened this morning only it smelled like I’d walked past a doe in heat scent wick. Could just be my imaginations twisting things hoping to have a hot doe and big bucks chasing her around my stand.

Good luck. Somebody needs to put a big buck down today!

In view of the coon hunter invasion, my only hope is a cruiser non-resident buck comes in here looking for does. Every resident deer have probably, like Elvis, left the building.

Just a beautiful morning here in central MN. 22 degrees and a nice stiff 15mph north wind. Will be in a stand with the wind directly in my face... Will not last long this morning.

Been in stand .... no desire to kill a doe or small buck and no confidence in seeing a big buck.... UGH

I may kill something I don’t want to just for posterity ....

That sucks Jim, talk about frustrating. I had the exact same issue. Luckily the farmer is pretty well respected and connected and took care of it. That being said I had someone try and take one of my cameras this past week. I had it set up on a scrape on the edge of a field. Someone reached around from behind the camera and tried to take it off. They weren’t able to get it because of the lock box/cable lock. Some people...

Nothing yet, and definitely nothing like yesterday's mayhem constant movement . Still early though, head on a swivel.

20191110_072228.jpg 20191110_072039.jpg Playing hunch this morning. Hunting off the ground in doe bedding area. Got in clean. Was going to the farm but I'm back at the river lease.

Trying some blind grunting, doe bleats and snort wheezes! Time to get aggressive.

10 minutes until shooting light in central Kansas. 38 degrees and the faint smell of blood in the breeze.

Suns up and it's pretty nice morning. Warmer than yesterday. Sweated my butt off getting in. Something moved through in the dark and headed toward creek about 60 yards in front of me. Don't know what it was and once got set up heard something blow over on neighbors. Other than that just squirrels so far
