Tremendous hunting pressure all over base and around. Walked over a blood trail near where.I wanted to hunt. Pushed back over a mile deep to a pt with a lot of cover. Saw a trail leading out right up the ravine toward the ag fields. Slowed down ans started looking for a tree to set up. Up jumps a bedded tank buck bedded within 20 feet of the lake on the lowest ground possible using the wind to his back

Sitting in a blind over a picked corn field. I killed a nice 8 point with the rifle from this same spot on Wednesday. Now I'm on a doe mission with my bow for the rest of the season. The main goal is for my dad to get his buck though. He is sitting on a different picked field. Doe have been all over the corn since I killed my buck so hopefully one of us has some luck tonight.

Just got settled in with my middle son for some doe management with the rifle on a friend’s property. About three hours of daylight to go.

Light snow. Light wind. 20ft in a row of pine trees surrounded by a giant willow swamp filled with bedding.

People across the lake are the mcnoise family. Dogs, goats, people yelling. Sounds like a scene from Deliverance. My gosh people. Thank goodness im on the quiet side.

Kinda warm here, 70°. Took the long way to get to this stand. Lots of freshly worked scrapes and rubs along the way, so I set a few cams. I do not expect much this evening but I think tomorrow evening and Monday are going to pop with the temps dropping and the weather moving in.
