    I too just had a shooter come through. I grunted him several times but he wasn't too interested. He continued on to the doe bedding area. Maybe he'll come back through.

    Negative. Blood petered out and his tracks intermingled in CRP thicket on that private parcel with too many other tracks to stay on. The guys leasing it were more accommodating than anyone could expect. Wish I could've let him lay overnight but beggars can't be choosers.

    Sucks . Had I literally waited one more second he would've been perfectly broadside. I know better and I still did it. My absolute worst trait as a hunter is sometimes I just get locked in and its like I pick a shooting lane and by damned soon as he steps or turns in I'm letting fly. I need to take that extra breath or 2.

    I just thought of something- is that what target panic is?

    Well I slept in by mistake, A hr behind schedule, I'm here it's cold, 20 degrees. No new snow, I had a fawn track in my path from exit and entrance last night. It was froze over so it had to be last night not this morning

    And that right there is EXACTLY why I didn't go in for first light. But, now that it's a bit warmer and the leaves should just be wet, and not frozen/crunchy, I'll be heading in. Good luck folks! I'll be LFTS in an hour. :tu:

    I’m staring at this big white oak in front of me wishing I would have moved this stand the other day. I’d be up to my elbows in gut pile right now if I did.

    Decided not to go out this morning. I have a contract to get signed around 11am and then I'm heading out for an afternoon/evening sit. Sunday evening is looking like the best time this weekend and Monday afternoon has some real potential.
