    Showered and about to hit the road. Miserable night of sleep, think I git about 3 - 3 1/2 hiure of broken sleep. Kept waking up throughout the short night.

    Mid morning into afternoon is going to be rough staying awake.

    2 DAYS!!!!! Then 9 days straight in a stand or blind in NJ. Kids will be on the crossbow first 5 and I may jump in with the compound Last 4 days are all me. Deer calendar for that area shows getting better every day, peaking Monday Tuesday . Weather looks best on Monday. Good luck today everyone.

    The only good thing about my work hours (4:00am-3:00pm)..... keeps me right on track for hunting season. 2:40am alarm every day! Lol

    Legal shooting light!! Overcast, coastal storm coming in later this afternoon. I really hope it gets them moving! I’m sitting near he spot where I’ve been seeing the does. They e been eating leaves off of some type of briar bush near a seasonal stream

    Good luck to the morning shift. In previous years, 11/2 through 11/9 didn’t produce for me. Could have been due self inflicted hunting pressure on the properties I hunt. It always picks back up on the 10th or 11th though. If you’re feeling down and out, it’ll pick up!

    I'm up 40 minutes until legal light. Chose the back stand, didn't see a damn thing onnthe drive, nit surprising with this ridiculous wind.

    I won't mention the fact that what I thought was my one piece insulated suit ended up being 2 piece warm gear. Should be ok though. Layered up, just that gap at the waist is annoying in the winds.

    Had a big body deer walk up to me in the dark. Pretty sure it was a buck. Heard it walk off a ridge over 100 yards away. Then thru this marsh in front of me, right to my tree. Hit my scent and slowly turned and did a small loop around me. 10 feet away. The crazy thing is was almost glowing in the dark, could see it 30 yards away. I believe it was a white deer. Also had a doe just walk up to me down wind. She turned and walked back.

    All set up where I shot my doe. Had a decent buck in here a couple days ago. Umbrella is up. I have Sitka on and ravin crossbow in hand today so I should be good out to 1000 yards give or take. I ain’t playing around today.
