I've been blessed. Not just to have my cams located and not damaged from the tornado, but to find this guy on one of my cards!!! I had a feeling I didn't kill him, but now I know for sure. What a good feeling.
This was taken on Nov 2, two days after the storm, and 15 days after I put that bad shot on him. I don't even see a mark on him! And it was his right side, near the shoulder. Today I didn't see a deer, but it's still been one of my best days afield, ever.

Can’t hunt the am. But I should be in the stand right around noon or 1. Going to try to locate the buck from earlier today. Going to move up closer to the rub line I found if he comes the same direction as he did today I should be in good shape but it never usually works that way. I was glad to see him there was a deer taken off that property last week by someone wasn’t sure if it was him but after tonight he’s still there. CD46577A-8D74-46E4-8D48-80F6ED591F47.jpeg

That's a sweet buck. I'm sure it's a relief that he survived the arrow and the tornado. Stay after him and he will be yours.

This night can kiss my ass. One thing after another. I'll likely be using the crossbow tomorrow, Friday I'll break out the obsession and try to get one with it.

Still no game plan for tomorrow. Thinking about sitting same stand as last Friday and using my 4 wheeler parked as a visual block down wind try to detour anything towards me.

Likely won't have a signal if I do that, but still not ruling out the back stand back in the woods. Maybe even the box blind, hell, I'm a confused mess

3am can kiss my ass too....

Not so sure running him down with a CJ or Cherokee is the way to go, but if so, record that chit for our amusement

So all day sit. 15 total encounters. Two bucks i wanted to shoot. One come in missed him twice. Pissed off get down 1 hour before legal shooting light ends. Find arrows head out to house through bean field. Deer on far end. Lets try spot and stalk. Stumble upon a buck. He comes to me. 30 yards broad side. Shot hear thud. Drops of blood no arrow. Wait two hours. Go look get blood to trees. So little drops. Decide to back out. Be out in am to see if sun will help show blood. Hope i got him and hope coyotes dont. I need meat. No rain in forcast.

Yep, I was super happy to see him again, and without the bolt. I'll be after him again tomorrow. :tu:

Wow, surprised it was this dead today!
All I had tonight was a button buck milling around for the last hour. I'm gonna give it one more sit tomorrow AM (better morning spot anyway) then it's game on and I get crazy aggressive. We had about 5" of snow tonight so I oughta be able to game plan on the fly.
