You guys ever have one of those days where you get down for lunch, come back park on the other side of the property, looks at a section of woods and think maybe we should have a stand there, then you hear some crashing and boom there's a doe and a big mature 6 point popping out of the corn 40 yards from your truck?? Yea that happened, they ran around in the field for a little and are back in the corn somewhere I think... so I’m not where I wanted to be set up but there’s a hot doe being chased near by, oh and in the process of hanging up the stand there was also another shooter that popped out of the corn further away

Back in a tree. Went up and met my dad, had lunch at the car, and walked him into his spot.

Just got settled in for the evening. This weekend I cleaned out my car. Washed all my clothes, oil change, brake pads. Sweep, clean. Thought I put everything back in the car. Nope. 20191106_142143.jpeg

I was going to sneak in a ground hunt and check a camera in that new spot that I blew up last week and damned if the wind doesn't shift from good to bad right when I'm hoping to go in! I need the intel before I leave for Florida (insert whiny voice). Maybe the weather forecast is wrong, but I'll just have to see whenever I get home. I definitely don't want to mess around and screw up that spot again. Good luck to the PM shift!

Schools out...headed home to shower and then head over to my big buck spot. Good bedding, so I hope there is some chasing.

I’m finally in my stand. I spent the bulk of the day getting to my cams, which I found without too much trouble! I had a lot of clearing of my route, but it wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it would be.

Two of my three stand trees are still standing, so I’ll be able to hunt back in there.
I can’t wait to see what pics I got, cams been unchecked for 10 days.

The Lord really cut me a break, and for that I am thankful!
