    Starting to lose the easterly wind thursday, now forecast calling for due north. Not really going to change things much, I'm going to be scent wicking the place up though.

    Had decent results with them year before last, had I think 6 out and a few young bucks hit a couple of them. Just trying things to wash out my scent and who knows, may just stop something for a shot.

    Trying to decide whether or not to use my 4 wheeler as a manipulation of movement. Park it about 100 yds from stand where I often see cruisers, in hopes that it makes them circle around more to me.

    Sometimes I think we give too much credit to the deer, they only have sight, sound and scent to base their choices on. They don't have rstional thought processing, only fight or flight.

    Nope just unemployed. I deal with my wife’s stuff for 9 months she deals with mine for 2 1/2 months. The kids are all for me hunting and they both enjoy the venison. This will be my daughters first full gun season. She’s excited for November 15th. My son is 11 he like the getting ready part of trimming branches and helping me set up stands.

    Tomorrow my oldest son turns five. It’s going to be a great birthday, I picked him up his first little bow today and my dad is getting him his first BB gun! There will definitely be some pictures to come!

    I think that because they dont have real rational thought and only make decisions basically on scent alone is why we have to give them so much credit.

    Back to Wed. delivery. From what I can tell though I will have 2 chargers so should still be OK.

    I don't get super cold on stand anyway as long as I have foot warmers and hand warmers.

    I hate the drafts created at the waist with two piece outfits and down the neck without nech shielding.

    Took me a long time to get in here. This place is rough. Islands with little cut throughs, low water where I had to paddle, stumps, swamp muck...not really feeling it this morning but I am trying to make this all fun.
