Scattered rain by my spot on Thursday but I would love to be out there Friday, high of 38? Some serious deer are gonna die.
I usually wear a couple good baselayers, then the hoodie, a good fleece vest on top of that to keep it tight on me and trap the heat. Then if needed another fleece jacket on top of that. Last Friday morning it was in the 20's, I never needed the outer jacket.

Made it out for the evening sit, little warm but I have a buddy that has been on a all day sit about 10 miles north of my place and he said they've been a moving today. The wind is perfect for one of my favorite stands so here is to hoping that toad steps out tonight.

Well I officially have Friday off and just in time for this nasty cold front to push through. It ain't the 7th but close enough! Till then I have to man the salt mine since these bill collectors want the whole payment and on time. Friday through Monday are all mine though.

Looks like the funeral won't be till next weekend.

Wow, order status just updated. Will be here tomorrow. That gives me plenty of time to get all batteries charged.

I had a spike and button buck come in about 30 minutes before dark. They walked around and hit all those scrapes and licking branches. Guess big boy wasn't around, they seemed really relaxed.

Don't be afraid to switch it up. All the blowdowns from the tornado going to have fresh browse for them to feed on. Might have them off their patterns a bit.

Gotta be some fresh made funnels and impromptu ground blinds as a result.

I'm not a dog killer.. just a roofer that dumped 20lbs of 2" nails in your gravel driveway and will go pay the nearest two tire shops really well to refuse you service...
