The way my work schedule and leave works out this year is pretty sweet. Oct 21st is the beginning of time off work and into the woods.

Season in NH starts Sunday. I can’t wait to be in the woods! I’m a volunteer hunters safety instructor and have a class I am in today through Saturday so that will make the time go a little quicker.

I will not be as active on the LFTS thread. I changed cell providers and cell signal is no bueno.

Hopefully makes me a better hunter. Who knows how many deer I've not seen with my head buried in my phone.

Yeah I’m excited for this season I planted a couple food plots and they look pretty good have already seen some bucks in them in day light so hoping for the best. I would post pictures of them and trail cam pictures but for some reason I can’t. If any one could help with that that would be awesome.

Family gave me a dang cold. 15th is forecast high to be 90 plus. I may kill something just out of anger bc I'm convinced I'm going despite it all. Hunting angry is new to me, but it may be a requirement just to get through it.

I wasn’t ready for the season opener. Had stuff for work and then a work trip to CA this week. I’m back now and can (hopefully) start focusing on hunting. Any luck yet?

Went out to get another setup on a long haul deep in the woods and came out with 323000 chiggers on my clothes. On a positive note i found an old dead head walking in along a ridge. Seen several deer as well 20190912_135416.jpeg 20190912_125734.jpeg

You should ask CLS for some tips. It seems like whenever he starts ranting about his season all the deer start showing up.

Yes he is the guru we all learn from, but I'm just pissy cuz I despise being sick. Plus I dont own a Steelers watch to counter the bad juju.

    I was almost offended.

To be clear, I do not rant. I whine.

Very slight, but rather significant difference between the two.

Hoping to whine me in a droptine this year. That's my next bucket list deer after getting my clean 10 in '17.

Those are NOT chiggers - they are way worse. You got into some seed ticks. They’re the bane of my existence. They’re a lot like chiggers in terms of ichyness but they also have the ability to give you Lyme disease and Rocky Mountain spotted fever. I’ve found a combination of a scraping with a butter knife and sticking them with packing and or duct tape works best. I had a lady friend get them and she shaved her legs and that got them off but you prolly aren’t trying to go shaving your legs. They’re essentially just regular ticks that just hatched. They all climb up together onto a y’all piece of grass or leaf and wait - as soon as something or somebody brushes against it they all jump off and start doing what ticks do best, except these ticks you can barely see them and they attack by the hundreds or even thousands. They’re truly some terrible little fuckers. Oh, and don’t try scratching them off with your fingernails because they’ll all just latch on to the skin underneath your fingernails and if that happens you are really gonna hate life.

I was going to add a link about these for you so I googled seed ticks - and this happened...
