    Got off the stand after last light and high tailed it back to meet the wife for dinner but it was an interesting sit. Decided to sit by the food plot bc it's easy to slip into and the wind was right. Right at dusk 8 does come out and a couple of younger bucks and start grazing. Wind in my face about 6mph then it just died. The temp was dropping and my scent finally made it downhill just in time for the magic last twenty minutes. The old nanny doe raised hell, blowing and running back and forth trying to spot me. She stayed out at 40 and wouldn't turn broadside, the thought of braining her did cross my mind. I havent been busted like that in a few years or maybe once last year, idk. But that stand is coming down tomorrow its burnt and that doe is getting stuck. I'm going to whisper meatloaf to stop her.

    Should just sit in my driveway this morning. 7 deer in neighbors yard. Could shoot at them from my living room window.

    At the trail head of this 1300 acre parcel. So far I'm the lone hunter, at least in the top half. MZ opens today. Short sit today, as I'll be attending our annual Sunday school pumpkin blast (tannerite may be involved) and barbeque this afternoon. Trying a new spot, doubt I'll have service. 1mile hike.

    Saw 1 buck cruising and 2 does on the drive.
