Well boys, I blew it. In stand at 2:45. At 3:30 I missed what would have been my biggest buck at 32 yards. Shot Right under him. big 10 I've been getting pictures last couple days. Took off across pasture into neighboring woods. Think I'm done for the night.

Decided to go home for a bit around noon. Back in the same stand. Camera should a couple of smaller bucks coming through past week close to last light. I’m shooting anything tonight. Wife wants deer in the freezer. Lol

Saddle back up, climbing down isn't going to do anything for it.

I shot under what would still be my best buck to date back in 2012, may have touched 160. Shot 3 inches under his brisket was 45'ish yds rather than 30.

I think back to that shot every sit and I still kick myself in the arse and shake my head.

It happens, good thing is is you know he's a local, he's about to get stupid and you never know when he cruises back by or a hot doe brings him in.

Odd you brought that up, was thinking about it on stand this morning. Didn't have a signal so couldn't ask on here.

Did anyone save that video or have a link to it?

    Sorry Tony

Is it bad when a flock of maybe 5 turkey's sneak up on you and you don't see them til there 15 yards away? Then they picked me off and ran away. Also just had a red fox role thru at 15 yards.

Feb and Parker...your bow...can keel! Congratulations.
Saw a couple of fawns since I've been out. Moved up the hill 400 yards from where I sat this morning. THICK here. My long shot is 15 yards. Snow falling off of branches is loud. Watching for legs moving through the buckthorn.

Struggling with my afternoon set up. No places open on this base today. Two areas flooded with hunters. I should have driven 100 miles north and hunted Quantico.

Ill spare you the details on the disaster of an entry to this spot. It takes a lot for me to quit in the deer woods...almost did. Oh well....I got to meet an old friend again.

    This morning worked out perfectly.
It was about 9 o’clock when I looked over my left shoulder and there was a big doe standing in a thicket, then I saw another one another one another one.
It was at least three big doe, two fawns and there was an eight pointer following them as well but not a buck I wanted to shoot. They’re heading my way.
I picked out one of the big doe and had a nice quartering away shot at about 20 yards. She ran about 40 yards, layed down and was done.
I didn’t realize that another big doe was right under me when I hung my bow up. She saw me and took off. I may have taken her too!

LOL, doesn’t look like the same one, that sucker looks big.
You should climb down, tell him to stop following you and throw him in a rear naked choke!
