    Got a four day weekend and a cold front that just dumped two days of rain ended an hour ago. Just got to the tree hoping they’ll be moving after the storm. Went from 70° this morning to 45° currently and dropping

    I just got down to the property. It’s 32° but the wind is ripping! I got time for an evening hunt.
    Not sure if I will be doing more harm than good, but screw it, I’m getting dressed at the truck and going for a ground hunt. What else do I have to do?!

    I’m hoping for some serious action tomorrow and Saturday.

    This incoming weather front making temps drop from 83 today to upper 30s tomorrow morning. Good for hunting, bad for the mixing air masses. Tornado warning just issued until 11pm tonight.

    Holy hell that was interesting, the 2 small bucks picked up another nice8 pt so now there were 3 chasing the doe! The doe finally got away and all the sudden I had all 3 bucks within 30 yards. Of course the small bucks stop in the wide open and the biggest one is in the thick stuff.... all kinds of snort wheezing going on, the small bucks finally got intimidated and left and the 8pt walked away. Damn so close!

    This is my love hate with the pre rut/rut. See non stop action when they are chasing but it takes such a crazy amount of luck for them to chase into your lane.
