You mean those aren't blue scribbles?

    I hate being colorblind.

Nothing in three hours. It can only get better. I have great conditions though, with a very light breeze.

God that brings back terrible memories. I was a young man then too and it still sucked! Mountains and that laurel equaled a lot of tiring frustrating hunts and no friggin deer. Good luck man. I mean I know you know it isn't impossible but I do feel your pain.

No sir... I am a high volume salesman and working 3 days a week still equates to 70-80k a year .... I have a huge customer base and if I hook up with someone else that does, it’s sale after sale ... volume bonuses are great in the car industry.

Most fail because they are not willing to do what they need to in this business

This is where he is crossing so this is where I am. Rub lines lead right to it. Who knows how big he is...still a lot of fun. I eliminated the other side of the ravine by walking it. Nothing there. 30-10-19_15-05-19.jpg

I was just thinking, with the heavy rain that’s predicted for tonight and all day tomorrow, it should be knocking down a lot of leaves, making for much better visibility.

That, with the colder temps next week, it should be a great week to be in the woods. I’ll do several all sayers.

Forgot to tell you guys about my lunch time fun. Find a little country store out in the middle of the sticks. Walk in and I am met by a great guy and his wife. Two bbq sandwiches later and I am paying. Well they have a little back room where the blue collar fellas eat for lunch. As Im checking out I here tables sliding and mfers every other word. Two guys come by me about ready to duke it out. I just calmly pay for my food and add a Milky Way during the excitement. Its hunting season...I dont give two Fs about stress.

Quick etiquette question for all the public land hunters out there. I just finished setting up my LW stand. I lock the stand and the top stick with steel locking cable and padlock, and take the other 3 sticks with me. Saves time? My question is this, when I finished I noticed a reddish purple streak on the tree I set up in. It is squarely on public so I know it is not a “ no trespassing” purple marker. I am sure another hunter marked this tree, but the paint is faded pretty bad? I also noticed a blue mark on a different tree about 30 or 40 yards east and across a small ditch. Should I move my stand? Tganks

I am back at my house now, a little work to do? I left it there, it is at the intersection of about 4 trails, with a ditch crossing between a CRP field and a cut corn field. Not a lot of decent trees to choose from?

    I’d hunt there
Trees could be marked for any reason or be old marks
You have as much right there as the next guy
If someone shows up just politely discuss it with them

It's public land, technically you could put up a stand 10yds from another stand. I know it's not what you were asking, but unless you took anothers stand down and put yours up, it's just as much your tree as theirs.

Were the trees climbable with a climber?

Could have been someone marking their trees in daylight as to find them in the dark. Purple for one wind, blue for another?
