Thanks. I'm still kinda soaking it all in. That was the best two days of hunting I've ever had.

It's still October and it was like being out in early November.

So far 2 fly downs after we talked a bit. But they went straight to water down hill. They may feed back up though. Have a hen and fan on stick out. Fan just for bigger site profile. Also along line dueling grunt calls. Seriously they need to practice more..geez you'd think they were practicing clarinet.
Made a hell of a racket getting in and even with light got off trail twice

I was sitting in a tree once and a hawk swooped down to try to take out a squirrel that was going down a tree. The squirrel moved at the last moment and the hawk slammed into the tree. It kinda stunned him and he fell to the ground and looked around as if to say "Man, I hope nobody saw that." He shook his head a few times to clear the cobwebs and flew off. It was pretty funny to watch.

Swing and a miss on a turkey. Tried to take its head off at 8 yds. Too precise of a shot. Like 2 inches high. Lol!

Nothing here yet, I slipped into the doe bedding area this morning. I have never hunted this area before so I don’t know what to expect. Image1572440625.755806.jpg

I'll be in the woods by 4 today. Sneak attack in the snow that is supposed to move in later. It is already a cold rain out there, so I told the boss I'm working from home. Hang on..."working from home". Breaking out all the cold gear I guess. Good luck to those already out. It's about to break loose!

Woods are coming alive with all animals. Not sure how that translates to deer movement.

Well, the wife is awake now so I need to go and start processing the quarters from my buck.

I'll check back in later to see how much blood has been spilled.

Hey Brett - what time is moonrise where you are?

Edit: It should be around 10:13 there. Keep your eyes open.
