Good luck today everyone. I have to go back to work for three days. It’s supposed to drop off into to the mid 20’s for lows this weekend here. Should get interesting.

Got in good to this trail leading into bedding. One hour before light and within 20 yds of my stane site there is a big group of does. Had my red light on and just continued to walk normally so as to not sound like a predator. Completely downwind. They just walked off. There are several oak trees raining down acorns all around me. Bet they were getting their last meal before bedding. Ill he here til 1030 hoping a buck comes in here to check this feeding ground for the first hot doe. Its real humid.

I forgot to post last night. I was out during the PM shift. I moved to an archery only CA and found a tree with s few scrapes around it and not near enough girth! I was rocking in a 12 to 15 mph wind. But I did have a doe come across the river at a full sprint, she then ran north out of sight for about 45 seconds and then she reappeared. Ended up 8 yards east of me at full sprint still. No shot at all. Nothing was following which surprised me. I did see 8 more deer in the cut corn on my way out, so I am glad I made the move. Just need to fine tune my stand placement!

Oh man, that’s horrible. I’ve had a flooded basement before, lost some stuff, but never anything with that kind of value.

Well that is a first for me since I got a thumb release 3 years. Reach up to get some sticks away from the bottom of my bow and hit the thumb release in the dark. Plunges 18 ft to the ground. Got my back up wrist release and im back up and running.

Enter Hawaii Dec 31st 1987. 200 yr storm came through and we lived on the bottom of a mountain. Water containers busted and along with the storms, our house, 2 cars, and 90% of our persoanl belongings were ruined beyond repair. I hate floods!!!

    Great looking spot.

Something is going to die in Virginia today.
