the only thing that scares me more than messing with electricity (esp in this house) is the fact I am still considering telling my wife the laundry thing. Both could be deadly.

    Third rail!!! Third rail!!!

The first thing is to figure out why it tripped in the first place. If she wasn't doing laundry (like she should have been:)), your pump can be having issues, on it's way out, or it's being shared with something else?

22 degrees with a hard frost. Slight north wind. I’m up and off... to work.

Had dreams I was hunting in some crazy place all night with 2 members from the forum. Can’t remember who it was though!

The wife is going out with me today. I’m not having trouble staying on blood, now I’m having trouble getting ahold of property owners. As soon as it cracks daylight I’m going to make some phone calls.

So on my way here I had a doe cross the road in front of me and I had to jam on the brakes so I won't hit her, what to my surprise was right behind her, a hugh buck I stopped and looked at him in awh , then I contempted if should get out and shot him. I seriously thought about it but I didn't. Man I wanted to. 25 yards from the trk. If I could have gotten to the bow. Back seat huh

It is 45 degrees wind out of the south at 10.

They are starting to chase here.

Can only hunt til 1030 then I have to take the wife to the airport. She is off to KY to visit college friends.
I'm home to hunt. I got the better end of the deal

How to assure a high wind event.. clean the trails of trees the day before. Windy! Sounds like a herd of buck fighting out there with the trees clanking together. Crows just woke up. In the blind with bow and gun. If turkey come through this wind will have them spooky. Hedging my bets.
Winds from sse. Nearest house east is 1/2 mile. South is a mile. I feel like I'm in someone's kitchen.. onions and bacon.
    Good luck guys.

Good luck to those hunting. Dreery on the MA coast this morning... Wish I was in the woods.

Interesting side note, there is a bounty on deer at Martha's vineyard...

I'm telling you, find some local guys (Bubbas or Bos) who hunt, not far from your school is some decent hunting.

What am I doing? Winds like these I know turkey dropped down and headed straight down hill or to one of the pine plantations. The deer same thing, pines or low in swamp or the gullies. Rain next few days.
Turkey ends on the first. That's when we can pickup 2 extra doe tags and crossbow opens around then I have to check. Which I find stupid. You can use a crossbow for fall turkey, which is in regular bow season. BUT you can only deer hunt with a crossbow the last to weeks of regular bow season, Plus you have to buy a muzzle loader tag to use a crossbow on deer during those last 2 weeks AND the late bow/muzzle .. good Ole NYS regs. Lol

    Thanks.

I actually thought about sending it in to the BH.COM trophy photos thing, but I'm sure Todd and Justin would disapprove of the tractor/grain bin/metal shop background.

The body on this buck was so big that I wanted a good pic to capture it. Well, that and it's my biggest bow kill so far.

Every time I think about leaving, I swear I hear a cluck behind me! 10: 30 I pull the plug. Pre cook dinner so I can hunt tonight. Or just defrost cubed venison steak if I can find a pack. Fresh broccoli, corn and mashed tators.
