I am in Cape Girardeau. About an hour and 15 from PB. Familiar with the Elsinore area a bit.

Finally got caught up after being 30 pages behind. Congrats on all the deer guys! I'm finally out again over looking a 200 acre clearcut bordering a stand of oak. Turkeys are all I've seen so far.

Sitting in new stand 40 yards off bean field. Thick area behind me. Major trail 25 yards to my left and fresh scrape 15 yards to my right. Feels good to be in the woods instead of the tree line. Going to rattle this evening.

    Aim small

Low temp Thursday night of 23 now. Toe warmers are in my future. Kinda crazy temps for Nov. 1st.

    Looking like High Pressure too

How many people are rattling or using grunt call now? Or are you guys waiting a little longer?

I know 2 guys in SW MICHIGAN that rattled in and shot decent bucks on Saturday.
The big buck I saw last night wouldn't leave a doe (little buck with him came right in to grunt call).
    Its go time around here!

Just sent it on a big 6. I let down on him 3 times trying to figure out if I wanted to shoot him. He’s wide! Probably 2.5yo

I think so. I heard what sounded like him falling. Not the dead run crash but the I fell over crash/leg kick. My nock didn’t light up. Probably bc it’s full of blood from last years doe and a coyote this year
