Here comes a big flock of turkeys.

I wish they would leave me alone.

I wouldn't even try. So far I've managed to "keep it all inside"

That drives me nuts - during turkey season you will cover miles and miles of terrain searching for those bastards and end up getting dozens of great shot opportunities on nice deer in the process but gobblers are nowhere to be found. Come deer season all the sudden it seems like there isn’t a damn deer around for miles and miles, but you’re practically swimming in a pool of thunderchickens. Possums are the same way - if you’re not looking for a possum they'll practically dive in front of your truck tires every time you round a bend, but whenever you really need to get a possum you can’t even find somebody elses roadkill much less one that’s alive or still in good enough shape to use.

I'll bet that the best remedy would be to buy the turkey tag. If I had the tag they wouldn't come anywhere near me.

Then again they would probably just mill around just out of bow range which would be worse.

It's 91 degrees here right now. It's not too bad if the sun doesn't hit me. I sure wish the breeze would pick up though.

Our big game license actually includes deer and turkey so you automatically get both but we don’t have a fall turkey season and deer season ends before the spring turkey season.

Sure is fun to read what people are doing on stand when I still have to patiently wait for the 15th. By the way I was wondering why it won’t let me upload pictures to post. I use the forum on the app on my phone.

What a waste. Got all the way to the stand. Climb up and a huge lightening storm rolls in. I got soaked and waited a little while but didn't let up. Guess it's part of that coastal living. Anyway here was my first pic that was supposed to be a live from the stand with more posts to follow but guess it doesn't always gp to plan. Guess tomorrow is a new day 20190909_162740.jpeg

Well, that's it for that spot. Once again I saw nothing.

That is until I stepped out of the woods. There were four deer feeding about 100 yards from my four wheeler.

The deer are moving. I was just hunting in the wrong spot. It was a great spot last year. I saw deer every sit.

    Oh well.

That's a new one. Can't say I've ever heard anyone say "whenever you really need to get a possum" before.

You and Holt need to put your heads together and straighten stuff out.
Put your quad in the back of his truck. Drive to spot. Each of you set up in saddles 3o yards from said parked vehicles. KILL
