I appreciate the support! lol! However, I've said it before, it is my own doing for not doing my work during the offseason.

Side note, I have to admit I have never been a fan of afternoon/evening hunts, BUT I now LOVE them!! I can tell for certain, the morning hunts were what was burning me out, the 0230 wakeups.

I've gotten money from the atm before and just drove away without it. Whoever used it after me was probably pretty happy. Haha.

Since I have nothing better to do, why not tell you guys about this evening.
2 fat girls came into the field each with a fawn in tow. 2 bucks followed about 4min after. Bucks were...not chasing, but following and generally annoying the girls. Bucks kept sniffing ground and kept playing with the girls, the girls wanted nothing to do with them.
Butt load of other doe come into field and the bucks start following them around, same result.
That nice 8 went to a branch and started knocking it around, girls kept eating and being boring deer.
Black cat walked around my stand, saw a raccoon about 3 times and 1 beaver.
All in all, 12 deer for about an hour, bucks appear to be preparing to look for doe. Not rut, just starting to be teenagers that found out boobs are cool.

Had 4 does and 3 fawns and a spike come through tonight. 20 minutes later had a nice wide 9 come through that I thought about taking a shot at. Hit my trail about 25 yards out and hung out there for about 10 minutes. While watching him I caught a glimpse of a big 10 that is probably the 2nd biggest deer I've seen on this property, ever. Didn't get any closer than 50 yards. Nothing chasing yet. Awesome night.

This is just a thought from me. I may be way off because my perspective is only thru your pics. It looks like your in open woods, maybe on the edge of thicket/mountain laurel? Maybe try find some nasty thick stuff, stuff only a crazy person would get into. Try to find a faint trail in it and pick the closest tree you can get into. You might be surprised how close the deer are to you, but just not enough to see them. I would get off the transition your set up on and dive into the thick side of the transition. 40 yard moves can open up a whole new perspective.

I had a parade of deer tonight, it was wild.
It was really warm when I got to the tree. After about an hour, some clouds rolled in and the temp dropped like 10 degrees.
Almost immediately, that buck came grunting through and does, fawns and a couple other young bucks soon followed.
The only shots I had was a 4 pt, a doe fawn and a bb
I needed this huge doe to take 2 more steps. But she caught a whiff, turned and went back where she came from.
Fun as hell though, it’s about to get real!

I definitely will take you up on that! During my august scouting I found what I was looking for, but being honest with myself I am not in the right physical condition to go that deep this season.
yeah good call Holt. Last 2 seasons have been spent in the thick stuff on the ground, not being able to see further then 10 yards. I'm sure it would be different in the thick now up in a tree. Not sure why that hasn't crossed my mind? LOL! Thanks!

Brett, we (The people on here) should have an offseason contest to see who can find the most buck beds!!

Shot in the right ass - it spun to it’s left and the arrow went right into the vitals! It never moved - just went down.
