OK awesome information thank you! Now that I’ve had time to think, everything I’ve learned about mature buck movement coming from the bedding area is that the wind is at his back. I’m going to go with that theory.

Two A-10 Warthogs from Keesler AFB just flew overhead.

    Noisy but very cool.

Yeah I bailed and now they’re probably walking past my stand. I had work to do and grab a card out of the camera. I’ll be at another farm in time for an afternoon hunt.

Those things fly over my spot from time to time. If I was an enemy and those things showed up where I was, I think I'd join the other side.

They are at Whitman AFB north of you as well (unless they moved them). I used to see them every day and it is one bad mama jama. Kearn memorial public was my old stomping grounds and they come over Lowwwww. You might see a B2 as well if it's a fly day and the stealth switch is off.

All setup!! Surrounded by rubs that are facing the opposite direction. Wind in my face, 25’ kinda high, but tucked in good. Leaves are very crunchy. Good luck everyone!!

Looks like I'll be getting ready and heading out here in bout hour. Have no idea where I'm gonna sit, so gotta figure that out ha. Have 2 stands that are usually pretty good chances of seeing action. The one is in a draw but right now there's cows out in the field beside it. It's fenced before gets into timber so won't have them around me but depending on where they're at could spend whole night looking at cows. Or could sit in bottoms again on cut beans. Last time didn't see anything but had 12 time before. Other stands have wouldn't be bad but chances aren't as high seeing anything like. Can bet wherever I go it'll be wrong choice ha.

    Good luck everybody tho.

Bucks will definitely walk with the wind to there back. But they must be able to see what's in front of them. Meaning wide open forest or into a field.

I’ll be in my stand in 15minutes. Looking for does. I’ve only seen little bucks in that area.

I’m here, get your popcorn ready...if I don’t kill ol 12-pack, I’m giving all my hunting stuff away*. Wind on map says no, wind live in the stand says it’s perfect.

I can't get over the size of him. I'm guessing he has to be 300 on the hoof or darn close to it. Believe he is 6 1/2. Have him on 3 different cams but all at night right now. He was pretty active in daylight last year I just never caught up to him. Need a south wind to go after him and there isn't one in the forecast

Question for you guys. Do you play the wind on rainy days? I would assume no since your scent is washed?

I'm headed up to my lease now. Light rain, a little north wind, temps have dropped 4 degrees already on my drive up. Should be solid weekend here in TX. Going to end my drought of a buck here on my Texas lease!! Lets KILL!!!!!!
