Deer are on their feet. Half rack buck just walked threw the middle of my field while my daughter and I are eating lunch lol #lovelivinginthe country
Couple more weeks and I’ll have ones like this 100 yards behind my house like last year

Nothing but wood ducks for me this morning. Pulled a card on my way out and a shooter was on cam at 8am and 6pm yesterday..

Back home in OKC from the New Mexico Elk hunt and just 1,065 posts to catch up on.. Will be on stand tomorrow in the early a.m. It has been raining here for two days non-stop and it is supposed to push out tonight and clear up, pitter patter!

Oh, skunked on Elk. Saw a few smaller bulls the first day and nothing but a few cows on the other four days. Neat hunt, interesting outfitter and some neat country.

was an hour and a half into my drive and got a text message from UPS- my (meaning my wife's) couch will be delivered "by the end of today"
tried like hell to get it rescheduled for Monday but no-go as it was "already out for delivery"

...not gonna leave my wife to wrangle a frigging couch in off the porch by herself. U-turn; now back at the house waiting...

I just had a nice little 8 point walk by at 25 yards. I would guess him at about 110".

I let him walk which is unusual for me.

He makes 11 deer spotted so far.

I have a rare south wind today. Trying to figure out where I’m going to hunt. For some reason when it comes to my hunting I can never think straight. A buck is not likely to travel with the wind coming from behind him is he? I’m pretty sure it’s crosswind travel.

hah! give me a call; I'll put you on speaker and see if you can convince her.

It's too late now anyway; if I left right now and went straight into the woods (not setting up camper) I'd only get there in time to have maybe 2 hours till dark.

I'm still driving up tonight; just won't be able to squeeze in a sit...unless these suckers get here in the next 15 mins...which I doubt.
