Hit one high. Went down. Blatted a bunch. Got up and ran off.

I didn’t get to hunt today for KY opening day due to an equipment malfunction... but pulled cards and picked up last years deer from the taxidermist. Still a good day. 58956478697__2CDE8908-45A8-4EB6-926D-414F5A974F57.JPG 58956480609__72FCDCA8-F596-4CEA-BDC2-7578AA2E683C.JPG IMG_4077.JPG

I don't. I think I was above the backbone. Ran off pretty healthy.

always put another arrow or 4 in one that's spined. You might've only clipped the top of the vertebra and gave it a stinger.

If you found blood maybe you hit lower then you thought. Start at the point of impact while being careful where you step and try to locate the arrow and any sign of a blood trail.

I found 20 inches of arrow with blood halfway up. Out for now. Back in the morning. It rained.

Since the sun has set across the open areas. My view today, forgot the damned sunscreen though.

NJ stands are hung. Cameras are showing some 2.5-3.5 yr old bucks and lots of does. VT stands are hung. Clover/ Chicory plot and Turnip/ Radish plot are both doing well. Ready to spill some blood with the new Bear Divergent. September 14 cant come soon enough!

So since I posted the boat pics, to make them relevant to this thread, I learned something today.

Where I was fishing today I have always had cellular service and data. Weak at times but always there.

I use straight talk and they must have changed something or a tower came down somewhere as I had no signal at all and I had to drive 16 miles towards home before I received a weak signal again.

May not get to participate in this thread this year, in its stated purpose anyway. Won't know for sure until next month or November weather dependent.

You guys aren't going to believe this, it happen again! I get down at dark and head the opposite direction the buck went. I'm almost at my truck, maybe 50 yards, and there is standing the same buck at 10 yards staring at me. He blows and runs off. Just screwed that area up. 2 nights in a row running into deer at the truck. He must have done a big circle just out of sight.
