Look what I had waiting for me when I arrived home. PUMPKIN ROLL.

Its getting closer to sweet November.

Heading back out with a full stomach. Hopefully I don't fall asleep in the stand.

Blood was awesome. The nap spitfire didn’t the trick. It made up for my shot being back. Caught the liver. I never seen so much blood from a shot that far back. She went about 65yds and gave up. Thanks everyone for the kind words. Good luck everyone

Back at it in blind. No sooner did I get seated I had a fawn feed through at 23 yrds. I think she bedded on other side of brush pile fence. Let's hope Momma is still alive or an Aunt or two hoping for those turkey

I like afternoon hunts when my scent is blowing into the field as the field is usually where they are headed and I ambush them between their beds and the field

So I’m 6’8” and can’t sit still very long. When I bow hunt I tend to stand mostly, especially around that golden hour. Where I gun hunt I’m in a two person raised box blind.
If you can get off the ground, I would. But sitting/laying on the ground leads to good naps.
    Best of luck.

OK. I'm stepping into mean old lady mode. WHAT THE BLANK ! The nieghbors grand daughters scream non stop when outside. S 20191019_142911.jpg 20191019_142851.jpg creeching and screaming for the last hour. Seriously they are tweens, I'd have a permanent place for my foot if they were mine.
Right about fawn. Holy crap she's now in pines with me bedded. Not sure I can be that quiet. Ft. Away

I can literally hear her grinding her cud, she's up against the blind. I can't move for fear of spooking her. She's licking her self now..lol.

Well my field observation sit is a no go. Wind is blowing in a different direction then what was predicted so I’m all set up in a different spot. Good luck everyone. I’m trying to stay off my phone this hunt, unless I see something or shoot something! Anything goes tonight

I'm strapped in on this beautiful sunny 60 degree day! Great way to spend a Saturday. PS Had a 125" 8pt walk in front of the stand 30 min before I walked in this morning. Hope he comes back this afternoon.
