I've never sat past 10:00 am here this early in the season. This early in the year this spot has always pretty much been a spot where if they haven't moved through by 9:00 they aren't coming.

It's nice out though so I think I'll just sit another hour until 11:00.

If a doe comes through now it's in trouble.

Fixing up the canoe due to an arrow hole. Ha. Stripped out the inside wood planks for room for my stand and bow. [IMG][IMG][IMG]

Bad wind for my only option to hunt today. Looks like I will be back in business tomorrow morning. Gonna be a bloody day tomorrow boys. Good luck to those trying to make it happen today. It's damn near 90 degrees today and I do not want to brave the heat.

I'll be going back out this afternoon but only about two hours before dark and I'll be going to my back-up spot. I'm not looking forward to the heat.

The wind was out of the North this morning which is perfect for the tree I was in. I noticed after I got home that it is going to shift to the ESE tomorrow which is bad for my primary spot so I just ran back over there and moved my climber to a brand new tree in a spot that should be good for a couple of days.

It's still in the same patch of woods. This might be a better spot.

Always a good thing to move when wind isn't right. That usually always pays off in the end. Best of luck.

Up and at it in Southern Maine. Good wind. My hit list includes any 1 year old, but its subject to change. Apples on their menu.

I'm up for the evening hunt! Looking for a nice doe. Sitting around oak trees with some acorns on the ground. With the amount of deer crap on the ground, looks like I'm a month short. Maybe a early drop this year?

I heard the same thing a few weeks back of acorns all over the place on the ground.

Just had maybe 3 bucks come thru, still in velvet. The closest one was definitely a shooter, he only got to maybe 45 yards. Then feed away the opposite direction.
