Looking forward to some better bass fishing as the temps cool. Bass fishing has kept me calm about hunting. haha. Man it has been smoking hot this summer.

Finished a couple stand setups and limed two foodplots this morning before the temperature got to the obligatory 1000 degrees. Our opener is the Saturday after Labor Day. Not really all that excited though due to the fact that it’ll probably be high 80’s to mid 90’s nearly every day in September.

Just finished prepping one of my stand spots, clearing debris on the path, clipping a couple of unruly briars and checking my persimmon patch. I have about 10 to 15 young trees near this spot. Already dropping. My summit is in the background so live near the stand? Idk. 20190818_175751.jpeg

I got some great news for this season! For the first time ever, the county I live in and hunt just opened all Sundays for hunting deer! This is huge, it will open up alot more days for me.

That's how it started for us. We had 2 Sundays for quite a few years. But about half the state is still no Sundays. We get a little more in different county's every year. Won't be long before it's the whole state, I hope!
