I personally hate it. I've killed deer with cows around, but find that usually they're just quickly passing through rather than hanging around for any periods of time. If the cows are real close, fuggetaboutit, I move on

Just got busted by a doe at full draw? Had a limb in my way and needed her to step! Oh well, got the heart pumping!

I have hunted pastures a handful of times. I have never shot a deer in one - passed on some. You have to be careful if you leave gear up. They will rub and break almost anything left out. That being said, the biggest buck I have ever seen hunting walked out of a swamp, across 100 yards of open pasture, and into standing corn - 2 days in a row. Closest he got was 75 yards. Absolute giant. Good luck. Maybe try decoy at proper time of year.

Just got settled in y’all. Made a ton of noise getting set up cause this is a new piece for me to hunt and the first time in this tree. Had to trim a little to get my climber up it. Promising spot though. Buck only tonight due to me not wanting to miss the Broncos game while tracking/processing a doe. Lol. Good luck everyone who is out. Shoot straight and KILL!

Not quite live, but I was clearing some lanes for gun season and saw a really nice buck.
Can’t wait to get into the field with a legal hunting weapon.
    Good hunts Y’all.

I hunt a property owned by Univerity of Illinois that has cattle on it. They rotate the cattle so I stick to the pastures that the cattle aren’t in. Works out well. Shot my buck last year there

I have a spot that's great, right up to the point the landowner moves his cows there in early November

Cattle pasture on 3 sides. Knew I'd see deer, just didn't think it'd be this early. [IMG]

On the way out saw a big doe with a fawn followed by a big bodied deer that hung back in the tall grass Just couldn't make it out for a shot and let it walk along as the light faded

Saw 4 little bucks in beans along with several does. They chased a little, bit seemed content eating.
