Well, if you go after him/them in the rain, don't forget a scent free bar of soap for the recovery video

Lol! I just checked weather and not looking good. It's going to start at 11 and dump almost 2" rain for 5 hours. Then on and off showers the rest of the evening.

Do you all think Ohio will ever be a 2 buck tag state? I’m betting not, probably because the divorce rate would sky rocket.

Thursday behind the house is going to be a kill day. I’m off and hunting all day.

And you can name the Big 10 Ernie, then you hang them both in the master bathroom.

First place to start is contacting your state Rep. and Senator and seeking their guidance/support.

Same goes for those who cannot hunt on Sundays.

All it takes is for one law maker to introduce a bill, may have to keep trying year after year, but without it you let those of the past keep control of the future.

2 buck thing is more of a conservation department issue rather than state control, but your states Rep. and Senator would likely have the access to talk with them directly if you are unable to.

Start petitions to make it a public issue etc.

If you don't try, you'll never succeed

Good thing with forecasts is they are often wrong, bad thing with forecasts is they are often right.

Plan to hunt but be ready to call it if not.

Secondary question, any chance on beating them to their bed rather than waiting for them to rise from it?

I wish Michigan was a one buck state. I believe people would self regulate themselves more and let more of the young bucks walk. As it is, I get 2 buck tags [one must have 4+ points on a side], why not shoot the first one i see???

that's absolutely the mindset of the majority of MI hunters over 45. It was starting to turn the corner but the CWD thing killed the momentum for APRs.

Earn a buck is the way to go.

I'm so torn about this coming weekend. Dying to get back out but, it's a 4 hour drive and I pretty much have to take a day off of work for it.
Weather is a bit warm, possible rain. Big buck odds are low, but not impossible. I do need to kill a doe or 2.
Do I go, or save the day for a week or 2 later?
I know exactly where I would sit. I did kill one of my biggest on the 22nd years ago. What do I do!

Hard call I've shot my biggest bucks the 3rd and 4th week of October in NJ and VT. I really love now through Halloween.
