I'm all loaded up and I'll be headed to Kentucky tomorrow to sneak in and hang my stands,

Then it'll just be a matter of killing time until Saturday morning.

Thanks, and good luck to you too! I'm sure we're both anxious to kick this season off.

I went to do my first camera check here in New Hampshire today and the first camera had a couple does and small bucks. Then my best spot with a food plot went to check the camera and there was a little buck feeding in the food plot at 4:30 in the afternoon. And the camera crapped the bed so no pictures in the three weeks it was out. Very disappointing.

I guess you missed where I was live from the stand from stand Monday and live from scouting on Saturday. But, yes there will mostly be inside jokes from the regulars until more seasons start. Most inside jokes relate to past missteps from previous years’ Live from the Stand threads.

Stick around, we are fun group once you get to know us. But, be aware you will most likely end up an inside joke if you do. Most people who stick around have some inside joke affiliated with them.

As for the no one is live from the stand aspect, I see the word "live" in both it's meanings.

You live or you are live.

While hunting I'm live from the stand.

When at work or home, I live hunting vicariously through those who are indeed live.

If this thread only allowed those who were actually in the stand to communicate with each other it would lose its true intent. @vabowbender who does not seem to be a member anymore(?) was the originator of the idea on this forum. It had been done on archery talk prior to and the concept was taken up here. Been a mainstay ever since.

If you want a true "live from the stand/hunt" you can go the route of @Fitz and create a seasonal blog thread for everyone to follow. His journey with "Blade" and "Whistler" became epic follows on here. I think that all started after "Count Chocula".

There's no wrong way to hunt a deer, as long as you do it right.

Wait until Halloween hits, you'll see 15-20 pages a day, maybe more.

You'll get the "live tracks" that I think @sycamoretwitch holds the epicness for, the bitching and moaning that I do and the failed follow ups that made @mike4christ a legend in his own mind

There's times where those of us sitting at home have clearer heads and can think outside the box and aide a hunter in tracking or simply encourage them to sit another hour or make that stand change they are contemplating.

Come Oct 1st, a mere 26 sunrises away, this thread will live up to its name.

where did DIY stick his? North Dakota?
Did you guys see the GIANT that the TPH guys found up there? Sucker looks to go maybe 180+. Never thought of ND as a big buck/travel to state but might have to reconsider.
