Real foggy here, daughter and I are getting a late start for the second day of youth. Probably won’t be in are spot until 730. Deer haven’t been coming through until 10 or later according to camera so hopefully they will stay on that schedule. Last night was a bust didn’t see anything but chipmunks.

Man Pa has to change the laws on Sunday hunting. It's 35 degrees. I would love to be out right now

It would be a great day.

Virginia only allows private land hunting on Sundays. Absolute bs. Unequal access.

Good luck everybody. I made it in with out hardly rustling the leaves. If he’s coming back to this bed, he hasn’t made it yet. Giving it until 11.

I'm here guys! I was beat last night. Took me 2 hours to hike in and the last 100 yards was knee deep swamp water and scrub brush. Of course the water was 1 inch higher then my boots, so sat with wet feet all night.

What learned from last 3 sits. I was 80 yards from both bucks and got to watch them the whole time. Then they leave to go to neighbors crop field right at dark. When they get up from there bed, it's almost 2 hours before dark and they don't move more then 40 yards. So I picked my kill tree last night that I will sneak into today.

Now the problem. The big 8 pt will be really easy to kill. His bedding has a major flaw that I can capitalize on. The problem is the 10 point is setup to cover the exit of the big 8. I may have to bump him just to setup were I need to be. But at the same time I would be happy to shot either buck and don't like the idea of blowing one out. Not sure what to?

Also traditional you would setup to catch them coming from bedding, moving to food. But they are near a property line and my only option is to shoot them as soon as they get up.

Been on the stand for a bit, finally have some good light. The moon was setting right as the sun was rising, pretty cool. I'm sure that is some kinda Alshiemer thing.. Stepped in a big ol pile of coonshat, could be a good thing. If I was to put this turd in a jar with a pic of a big buck, I bet I could get like ten dollars for it.. I'd call it Bob's coonshat Cover Scent, $9.99.

Hahaha, just remember you stepped in it before you get back in your truck today. I did that once, but it was a buck turd. I got in my truck and blasted the heat. Started smelling it and remembered. It was smashed all in my brake and gas pedal, what a pain to clean out!
